Tagore International School recently organised an insightful awareness workshop on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for students of Classes IX–XII. Conducted by TIS faculty member Ms. Maitreyee Bhattacharya, the session aimed to equip students with legal awareness, a deeper understanding of personal boundaries, and strategies to navigate both digital and real-world safety. Through interactive discussions and real-life scenarios, students explored important topics such as consent, healthy relationships, cyberbullying, online grooming, digital responsibility, and the importance of reporting unsafe situations. The workshop also familiarised students with support systems such as Child Helpline 1098 and reinforced the significance of speaking up without fear. The session proved highly meaningful in promoting awareness, safety, empathy, and informed decision-making among adolescents.
