Recognizing the crucial role of sex education in fostering healthy and respectful interactions among high school students, a sex-ed session was conducted by the NGO Pratisandhi for Class XI students on 19 July 2024. The session began with discussions on healthy versus unhealthy relationships, helping students identify the characteristics of each. Emphasis was placed on setting and respecting boundaries, crucial for maintaining healthy relationships. Engaging activities and worksheets facilitated a deeper understanding of these concepts. The importance of consent was a major focus, with clear explanations on its meaning and the consequences of its absence. The session also addressed recognizing abuse, violence, and sexual harassment, providing students with vital information on identifying such behaviors and reporting them. This comprehensive approach aimed to equip students with the knowledge and tools to navigate relationships responsibly and safely. An anonymous question-answer round at the end encouraged students to ask their doubts without hesitation.
