Firefighting Training Empowers Safety Team

he school organised a hands-on training session on handling firefighting equipment on 8 October 2025. Conducted by Mr Umesh Walia, a seasoned firefighting expert, the session aimed to enhance emergency preparedness. Student members of the School Safety Committee, bus drivers, conductors, and support staff actively participated in the workshop. Mr Walia explained the acronym FIRE — Find, Inform, Restrict, and Extinguish — to simplify the process of firefighting. Participants practised using ABC-type extinguishers effectively by aiming at the base of the fire and successfully doused controlled flames during the drill.
