The campus of Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar, came alive with colour, music, and pride as students and staff gathered for a dual celebration — the Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2025-26 and the nation’s 79th
Independence Day on 14 August 2025. The event began with the flag hoisting and National Anthem, followed by the warm welcome of Chief Guest Maj Gen Yash Mor (Retd.), a third-generation Army officer and decorated veteran who continues
to inspire youth as a TEDx speaker, author, life coach, and CEO of ‘Save the Himalayas Foundation’.
What followed was a vibrant blend of tradition and inspiration — a stirring orchestra, powerful speeches, and a fusion dance inspired by Medha Patkar’s journey. The Achala Nadgir Awards and the honouring of acid attack survivors paid tribute to courage and resilience. A soulful patriotic song then set the tone for the Chief Guest’s address, in which he spoke of the love for books, the value of sports, creative thinking within limits, curiosity, and healthy living. The programme concluded with the Principal’s heartfelt vote of thanks, leaving the audience reflective, proud, and inspired.
