‘Instant Eloquence’ – an Intra Class extempore competition, was organized for Class V on 7 May 2024. It aimed at fostering public speaking skills and quick thinking abilities by the participants. The contestants for this Final Round had already been selected through a pre-round on 29 April. The 18 selected participants were allotted their topics through a draw of lots and were given a little time to prepare before delivering their speeches. It has been said ‘A good speech is like a pencil; it has to have a point.’ The Extempore Competition proved to be an effective platform for the young speakers to demonstrate that they too have a point of view and are able to express their thoughts in an articulate manner.
