Understanding science experientially allows school students to grasp concepts more deeply and retain knowledge longer. Hands-on experiences foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills, making learning engaging and relevant to real-world situations. From 15 July 2024, an intensive exploration of various scientific concepts for students from classes VI to XII took place. The event began with a Science Exhibition for classes VI to VIII, where the auditorium buzzed with excitement as students showcased their models based on scientific principles. The audience, including special guests from Samarpan School, were captivated, and every student presented their work with enthusiasm, receiving appreciation from peers, teachers, and the special guests.
Students from classes VIII to XI enjoyed the second day, which was filled with lab demonstrations and activities focused on physics principles, chemical bonding, and human anatomy. Highlights included the Angry Birds catapult, an ice cream-making workshop, and engaging games that brought science to life. The excitement continued on the third day as students from classes IX to XII hosted an exhibition featuring working models such as a posture monitoring jacket, an electric rain display, a space gun, and an electric keyboard. Innovations like threads made from moringa and incense stubs from flower waste showcased the students’ creativity and ingenuity.
The grand finale showcased extraordinary craftsmanship and scientific prowess by students of classes VI to XII. Classes XI and XII designed a thrilling car racing track incorporating concepts like friction and velocity. Class VII students created a fascinating crime scene activity, teaching peers about forensics. The day concluded with a paper plane challenge, leaving students eager for more science activities. This event highlighted the importance of experiential learning, making science engaging, practical, and immensely enjoyable for all students involved.
